Warm-up exercises for Guitar

Warm up exercises

I can not get across how important it is to warm up before you start playing. You could develop RSI (repetitive strain injury) if not!

You don’t have to spend a lot of time on this and I would suggest 5 minutes is enough.

Below are the warm-up exercises that I and my students use. It’s a good idea to play these with a metronome.

For the above warm-up use alternate picking. If you don’t know what alternate picking is then click here to read another one of my blogs.

The above warm focuses on string skipping. This is a bit harder than the first warm-up however it will help you to sink your left and right hands.

Remember the importance of warming up.

Cheers for now
